Cybersecurity Engineer

Plan A Technologies is looking for a skilled Cybersecurity Engineer. In this role, you will play a critical role in securing the client’s Microsoft Azure environment. This position supports the cybersecurity team by implementing security best practices, optimizing cloud security, managing vulnerabilities, and responding to cyber threats. Please note: you must have at least 5+ years of experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer to be considered for this role.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY
Secure a Microsoft Azure environment and work to optimize the platform for security.
Help the migration from legacy VM’s to a container and PaaS based environment.
Manage security in Kubernetes, Rancher, and AKS.
Use CNAPP and vulnerability management tools to keep the environment secure.
Manage application security using SAST and DAST tools.
Analyze threat intelligence and determine how it applies to our systems.
Analyze and respond to SIEM/EDR alerts.
Work with our MDR provider on investigations and incident response.
Proactively threat hunt throughout our network for vulnerabilities.
Support SOC 2 and PCI audits throughout the year.
Support IAM controls throughout the environment.
EXPERIENCE
Strong Microsoft Azure and InTune security experience.
Experience with EDR systems; Falcon Complete is preferred.
AppSec vulnerability experience, including tools like BurpSuite.
Experience with investigating security incidents.
Experience with analyzing and responding to SIEM/EDR alerts.
Proficient with Windows and LINUX operating systems.
Experience with PaaS and Container security is desirable.
Experienced with network design and cloud security architecture.
Knowledge of networking and web protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, TLS, REST), and the ability to analyze traffic to find anomalies.
Experience with Palo Alto firewalls and Wiz desirable but not required.
Experience with the PCI-DSS or similar compliance frameworks desirable.
SQL knowledge and business analytics skills a plus.
Fluency in one or more programming or scripting languages desirable but not required.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
